Coulisse participates in the project SureMade, in which several Dutch companies cooperate to develop sustainable roller blinds and functional screens of recycled polyester.
With this project, the partners want to produce interior textiles in a sustainable way by the recycling, reduction and re-use of waste, implementation of recycling in design and professionalization and optimization of the production process. This contributes to the reduction of raw materials and CO2 emissions and to employment in the region of the Coulisse headquarters.
For SureMade a subsidy is received from the European Regional Development Fund. Coulisse cooperates with Verosol Fabrics B.V., Gaudium B.V., Stichting Texperium and Gebr. Van der Geest B.V. to make this project a success.
As a product developer fabrics, Esterel Roetgering is closely involved in the production of the Coulisse collections. “As part of the Coulisse Design Team, I make sure our creative ideas are translated into inspiring fabrics. I am in daily contact with our suppliers regarding the production process, from lab dyes to sampling and the actual production. Sustainability is a crucial theme in this regard.” Next to this, Esterel is an expert in the field of collecting and helps our partners create their best assortment.
