Denver, September 8, 2023 - At CEDIA Expo 2023, the premier event for home tech pros, global window covering specialist Coulisse (booth #C1112) is presenting Motionblinds smart technology. The company is taking the smart home world by storm with the most future-proof and connected motors for blinds and shades supporting the latest smart home technologies. After being awarded “CES 2023 Innovation Award Honoree” in Las Vegas earlier this year, Coulisse’s first-time participation in CEDIA Expo is the next strategic move to showcase Motionblinds for shades, blinds and drapery to pioneers in the rapidly evolving smart home market.
Celebrating more than thirty years as a one-stop-shop supplier for the window covering industry, Coulisse has earned a prominent reputation for its innovation, quality, and design. Having entered the smart home market with Motionblinds, the company is committed to becoming the global leader in smart window coverings.
"As an industry leader in window coverings, we are primed to make a significant impact in the world of smart homes," states Jop Vos, Managing Director Americas for Coulisse. "With the rise of trends like smart home connectivity, security, energy efficiency, well-being, and productivity, it's clear that window coverings hold immense potential to enhance these areas. The smart blind market is hailed as the next game-changer set to revolutionize households and buildings around the world."
Coulisse is collaborating with smart home specialist Eve Systems to further expand its Motionblinds technology. The two companies created the first-ever smart window covering motors that support the latest smart home technologies Thread and Matter, delivering plug-and-play interoperability and platform independence. Eve Motionblinds motors work with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings – without the need for a proprietary bridge. The motors work with other smart devices such as thermostats, lighting, window sensors, and security cameras to create the ultimate smart home living environment.
Motionblinds motors are designed to be seamlessly integrated into window covering systems. The motors feature physical buttons for easy setup and programming, eliminating the need for remote controls. By whoever wants to, smart automations can be manually overridden in a very intuitive way with a simple manual tug on the child-safe pull wand that is connected to the motor, making the window coverings open or close automatically.
Window coverings powered by Motionblinds are distributed through a network of fabricators and their dealer base. All dealers and retailers can be found in the store locator on motionblinds.com. The window-covering components, fabrics, and smart motors are available from the Miami warehouse, ready to be distributed to fabricators nationwide.
