We are on the verge of completing phase one of our new logistics center. This impressive facility spans 15,000 square meters with a height of 13 meters, including a 2,000 square meter automation zone. With 12 docking doors and specific provisions for lorry drivers, efficiency and convenience are at the forefront of our design.

Optimizing operations

Stepping inside, you are welcomed by an indoor garden at the heart of the office space, allowing in natural light for a positive work environment. Surrounding the garden are thoughtfully designed areas for our logistics and customer care teams, equipped with modern amenities such as meeting rooms and a spacious canteen and bar area for relaxation. An open window reception area facilitates communication with delivery spaces outside, ensuring a smooth workflow. Inside the logistics center, meticulous attention to detail ensures optimal functionality. From designated picking areas for hardware systems to specialized storage spaces, every aspect of the layout is tailored to enhance productivity and safety. Including mechanised handling systems, such as a cassette system for storing our 6-meter-long aluminium long goods. Also, an indoor vault of 300 square meters and 13 meters high to store our Motionblinds motors equipped with lithium-ion batteries with sprinkler systems on every level. Plans to implement a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) underscore Coulisse's commitment to operational excellence. Realization of Second Fully Automated Warehouse

This facility, spanning 7,000 square meters and utilizing RFID (radio frequency identification) technology, promises to revolutionize our storage capabilities. With advanced features including 120,000 storage locations and a seamless automated storage and retrieval system, this warehouse will streamline our operations, ensuring faster processing and enhanced efficiency. Architectural masterpiece

February, 2024

Coulisse has strategically divided the project among various contractors, each specializing in specific aspects. Alongside a construction contractor, roles were allocated for infrastructure work on-site, earthworks, the metal support structure, and facade masonry. Additionally, three separate contractors were assigned for installation work. The masonry work on the building's facade creatively integrates with the renowned century-old wall of Van Heek near the Enschede railway station. Drawing inspiration from Christiaan Roetgering's visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, the architectural style beautifully blends Twente's rich textile history with a touch of modern innovation. Piuarch, established in Milan in 1996, is the architect for Coulisse Campus, known for iconic designs like Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana headquarters, and the Fendi factory. Coulisse's collaboration with Piuarch underscores a commitment to architectural excellence and innovation.
